Celebrate Lunar New Year with LEGO® at CF Markville

Celebrate the Lunar New Year with joy and creativity as the LEGO Group brings a festive Lunar New Year activation to CF Markville in Markham from January 21 to January 27. Created for families, children, and LEGO fans of all ages, this immersive experience brings together time-honoured traditions and the playful spirit of LEGO bricks, inviting everyone to usher in the new year with imagination, positivity, and creativity—one LEGO brick at a time.

As visitors step into the space, they will be surrounded by vibrant red-and-gold décor inspired by Lunar New Year celebrations, setting the scene for a truly festive experience. At the heart of the activation, guests can enjoy hands-on free building at dedicated play tables, creating their own lucky LEGO builds and sharing moments of creativity together. A striking large-scale LEGO brick–built lion backdrop, inspired by traditional lion dances, provides the perfect photo opportunity to capture special holiday memories.

Adding a meaningful cultural touch, the LEGO Wishing Tree invites visitors to reflect on their hopes and dreams for the year ahead. Guests can write a wish on a custom card and add it to the tree with the help of friendly, multilingual brand ambassadors fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, turning individual wishes into a collective symbol of luck, unity, and new beginnings.

The experience also offers the opportunity to discover LEGO Lunar New Year sets, with featured displays and QR codes linking to the LEGO Lunar New Year landing page, as well as gift-with-purchase offers available at select retailers within the shopping centre. To complete the celebration, festive red envelopes inspired by the Lunar New Year gifting tradition will be distributed while supplies last, giving visitors a small keepsake to take home.
