Fall for Dance North 9th Annual Festival

Fall for Dance North (FFDN), Toronto’s premier international dance festival, will bring its diverse line-up of national and international dancemakers to venues across Toronto, from Sept. 26 to Oct. 7, 2023 – with all tickets priced at just $15.

 

The 2023 edition of FFDN returns to its roots with two signature programmes showcasing an innovative range of contemporary dance by emerging and established choreographers hailing from across the globe. The 9th annual festival also includes a diverse series of live and digital offerings.

 

Kamuyot (Sep 26 – 30)

Playful and mischievous, Kamuyot is a dance experience that will excite your inner child and capture the imagination of the youngest to the eldest audience member.

 

Tkaronto Open (Sept 30)

A contemporary dance competition in the category of Jingle Dress on Sept. 30, Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

 

Heartbeats (Oct 4 & 5)

Heartbeats is a thoughtful curation of pieces that revolve around one simple, yet commanding theme, human connection.

 

Unbowed (Oct 6 & 7)

Unbowed is a journey of dance that encompasses the spirit of unwavering resistance, tireless love, and promise of evolution through activism and vigor.

 

Swan Song (Oct 3)

At this special FFDN event, enjoy a sneak preview of Swan Song before the series premieres on CBC, including an artist chat on stage with the creative team, plus a live performance of excerpts from Swan Lake.
