Birks designed the first Birks Snowflake fine jewellery collection in 2012. The Birks Snowflake High Jewellery collection was in development for two years. The sparkling snowflake motifs are inspired by the beauty of Canadian winters and the graceful movement of falling snowflakes. The collection was designed in Canada, by Canadian artisans, and produced in Italy.
Large Diamond Pendant Necklace, $20,000
The Birks Snowflake Large Diamond Pendant Necklace features a solitary snowflake crafted with pear, and round cut diamonds set in 18 karat white gold, a signature design element of this collection. It features 91 diamonds and has a total carat weight of 2.78 carats.
Diamond Drop Necklace, $62,700
The Birks Snowflake Diamond Drop Necklace showcases a magnificent snowflake that gracefully descends from a smaller snowflake pendant. The necklace is composed of pear, and round cut diamonds set in 18 karat white gold. The 18 karat white gold chain is also adorned with diamonds. The necklace features 283 diamonds and has a total carat weight of 12 carats. The most elaborate piece in the collection, it took over 92 hours to complete.
