Bello’s journey began on Dans l’œil du dragon, where it debuted as a water filtration concept and secured $200,000 in investment from Québec entrepreneur Georges Karam. Following the show, his son Joseph Karam joined the company as co-founder alongside Clément Bouland. As the team evolved Bello from a prototype into a market-ready product, they uncovered a larger challenge—one they were experiencing firsthand.
Despite building a water filtration system, the founders often found themselves dehydrated. Plain filtered water felt unappealing, while bottled flavoured drinks were convenient but frequently high in sugar, additives, and plastic waste. Existing at-home options like powders or supplements required too much effort to sustain consistently. The team realized hydration wasn’t just about water quality—it was about creating an experience people would return to throughout the day.
This insight became the foundation for Bello Home. More than a traditional water filter or bottled beverage alternative, Bello is a complete at-home hydration ecosystem. Using a plant-based carbon block filter, Bello Home purifies tap water while preserving essential minerals, then pairs with natural, multi-serving glass capsules made from fruit and plant extracts, vitamins, and minerals. Designed for real life, each capsule allows users to pour a glass when they want and refrigerate the rest for later, supporting consistent hydration throughout the day.
