“Using no way as a way, having no limitation as limitation.” Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do philosophy is etched on the bezel of Casio’s MRG-G2000BL-9A timepiece, a special edition commemorating what would have been the martial arts/actor’s 80th birthday.

The yellow/black colour combination made famous by the jumpsuit worn by Bruce Lee in the movie Game of Death has been adopted as the watch’s colour scheme. The Chinese dragon character, engraved at 3 o’clock, was Lee’s signature. The yin yang symbol on the case back juxtaposes with two arrows, symbolizing the balance of yin and yang in combat.

As the most formidable in the G-Shock MR-G collection, this timepiece naturally boasts high performance. For instance, radiowave time-calibration signals, GPS satellite signals and Bluetooth are utilized to set local time anywhere in the world.

High-capacity solar power recharges the watch to operate six months without light, or as long as 23 months using the power-saving mode. The titanium watch case frames a sapphire glass crystal, which provides outstanding scratch resistance. It also comes with a highly durable Dura Soft Fluoro-rubber band and is water resistant to 200 metres.

The 300 limited-edition pieces retail for $5,400 each.
