Looking for a memorable and unique vacation? Beyond Limits is a series of journeys designed to defy convention, shatter the boundaries of expectation and elevate the luxury experience. Reflecting Los Angeles’ thriving arts and entertainment scene, the “Beyond Limits” event held at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel indeed goes beyond expectations.

Turning the concept of performance art quite literally on its side, Fairmont Century Plaza’s famed façade transformed into the first 19-storey vertical stage for an astonishing performance by famous aerial dance troupe, Bandaloop where they gracefully defied gravity. The performance was an homeage to the Century Plaza’s storied history and Century City as a destination for entertainment enthusiasts and art lovers.

Located in the center of Century City, the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel recently reopened after a $2.5 billion renovation which has 400 rooms and 85 suites. At night, the red neon lights on the exterior wall of the hotel can be seen from far and near, becoming one of the landmarks of Los Angeles.

Before becoming the hotel it is today, 20th Century Fox Studios was originally located here, but because of the failure of the box office of “Cleopatra”, this 180 acres location was sold in 1961 and developed as a hotel. The crescent-shaped 19-storey, 750-room hotel was famous for being the first to have a color TV in every room when it opened in 1966. Additionally, as Century City is home to Fox Studios and major entertainment institutions, it became the go-to venue for the Emmy Awards, Grammy Awards, and even the first American state banquet held outside the White House. Notable celebrities guests include The Beatles along with Sonny and Cher. Sonny and Cher even performed at the hotel in the 1970s, and the current elevator pays tribute to their names. In early 2022, the Oscar nomination announcement luncheon, the Critics Choice awards ceremony and the Producers Guild Awards honoring George Lucas were also held at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel.

French brasserie, Lumiere is driven by the pulse of the season, using fresh, seasonal ingredients in refined dishes.
We all know that location is everything when planning a trip and itinerary. Luckily, the hotel has everything within at your fingertips. The hotel is situated close to popular tourist attractions and minutes away from LA’s most popular attractions, such as Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Robertson Blvd, Melrose Avenue, Rodeo Drive, Paramount Studios and Hollywood Blvd etc..
