From amazing wineries to ocean-like views, Prince Edward County is one of Ontario’s top summer travel destinations. Two Prince Edward County gems are joining forces to spotlight the region in a match made in wine country heaven. Sandbanks Winery, one of the first wineries in the region, and the Drake Devonshire are making it easy for locavores to bring home a taste of PEC with curated recipes from the Devonshire’s Executive Chef, Amanda Ray.
In celebration of this partnership and the connection to their local roots, Sandbanks has curated a self-guided Sip & Sample PEC tour to encourage city dwellers across Ontario to enjoy beautiful views and local charm at Sandbanks’ own stunning Estate Winery, the Drake Devonshire, as well as beautiful outdoor spots, such as the iconic sand dunes.
Drake Devonshire Executive Chef, Amanda Ray provided two recipes perfectly combine the varying and unique tastes of Prince Edward County. The recipes feature locally sourced PEC delicacies such as Sofia’s burrata and Sandbanks Baco Noir Jelly (the winery produces 150 cases annually which are sold to local restaurants and are available to buy at the estate).
