Five-piece capsule explores the interplay between light, art and function
Reinterpreting the brand’s iconic heritage with style, distinction and imagination. From military-inspired quilting to innovative fabrics, premium trims and intricate reflective detailing, the new collection is marked by the elevated touches that set BRANTA apart.
Inspired by The Art of Light, the collection explores the interplay between light, art and function driven by innovation – through reflectivity, adaptability, and unmatched craftsmanship. In partnership with Brooklyn-based light artist James Clar – celebrated for his innovative explorations of the intersection between technology and humans – the collection epitomizes the journey of self-exploration through the transformative power of light.
BRANTA collection features five limited-edition styles, all aptly named after forms of light and features unique hits of reflectivity, all designed to be layered and worn as a system for the everchanging Spring weather. The Canada Goose diamond and signature reflective double stripe have been reimagined to merge both art and science. The length between the reflective stripes is inspired by the distance between the troughs on the wavelength of the electromagnetic spectrum of light.
All three windwear – Lumen、Clara and Polaris pieces feature Ventile® – a tightly woven 100% cotton material that is water-resistant and windproof, exceeding in performance and luxury. The two lightweight down styles – Solis and Helios provide insulation from the elements using Heirloom – a cotton/nylon blend that is water and wind resistant with a soft hand feel. Both lightweight down pieces incorporate durability mapping and pack into a backpack or a cross body bag for easy storage.
Spring 2020 BRANTA will be available May 21, 2020 online globally at www.canadagoose.com and in select Canada Goose retail stores in China and Hong Kong.
