Story | Connie Li Photography | Oris, Disney
Mechanical watchmaking is a serious business and Hölstein, Switzerland-based Oris is really quite serious about it, however with the ProPilot x Kermit Edition, part of the Oris x Disney’s The Muppets
collaboration, they’re inviting the world to take a minute and indulge in a watch that brings pure joy.

The ProPilot x Kermit Edition is based on the 39mm titanium ProPilot x Calibre 400, only it’s got a green dial–and a subtle twist. On the first of every month, the date window at 6 o’clock will be filled
with a Kermit the Frog emoji. “Kermit Day” is all about not taking life too seriously.

The collaboration goes beyond the new timepiece with Ken Laurent, creative director of the Swiss watchmaker Oris, travelling to Hollywood to meet Kermit the Frog and make a short film together
with Kermit composing and singing Gotta Make Time For Me, a catchy tune about finding just a brief moment in the day for yourself.

“We have a lot in common,” Laurent says. “Kermit is the every frog, like the every man.”
