Shiseido is launching the new Bio-Performance Skin Filler duo, which comprises of an Infill Serum for night and a Full Expansion Serum for day. Together, they bring out skin’s full volume potential to feel as much as five years younger.
Breakthrough MolecuShift Technology is behind the magic. Regular-sized hyaluronic acid molecule can hydrate and address skin volume, but the large size prevents full absorption into skin’s deeper layers. Other technologies are available to break them up into smaller sizes, shortening them in length so they can penetrate into the skin, but this changes the structure and lowers efficacy.
What Shiseido has achieved with the MolecuShift technology is to shrink the hyaluronic acid molecules to compact size for deeper penetration, while preserving their molecular structure. When they enter the skin, the molecules expand back to their original size in skin to fill more volume.
Kind of like those stress balls—when you squeeze them they become smaller and more compacted, but once you let go of your hand, it expands back to its original size.
After cleansing, apply the Infill Serum at night, which sends compacted hyaluronic acid molecules into the deeper layers for a firm, resilient look. Follow with moisturizer. During the day, after cleansing, apply the Full Expansion Serum, which expands those molecules in their original size in the skin for creating an extra moisture-retaining layer that helps push skin up, thereby giving us a lifted look.
In consumer testing, 91% says their forehead looks firmer, and 92% says the skin looks more volumized than ever.
