The Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards Celebrates 10 Years

Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards (CAFA) celebrated its 10th anniversary and brought together the fashion industry’s top artists, influencers, and business leaders from across the country and around the world to commemorate the 2023 winners and honourees at its annual awards gala in Toronto.

The 2023 Outstanding Achievement Award was presented to Dani Reiss, C.M., OOnt, Chairman and CEO of Canada Goose, for his contributions in building one of the world’s most recognizable brands and leading manufacturers of performance luxury apparel.

 

 Justin R. Saunders, Designer, Creative Director, and Founder of JJJJound

The International Canadian Designer Award was presented to Justin R. Saunders, Designer, Creative Director, and Founder of JJJJound. Since its inception in 2006, JJJJound has grown in the last decade into a collaborative design studio that aims to inspire through multiple channels. In addition to its own projects, JJJJound has worked in collaboration with numerous established artists and brands including Reebok, Vans, New Balance, A.P.C., Bassi, Garrett Leight, and more.

 

Joanna Griffiths, Founder and President of Knix

Joanna Griffiths, Founder and President of Knix accepts 2023 Changemaker Award. Since launching Knix in 2013, Griffiths has fought for body diversity, paving the way for a needed shift towards an inclusive fashion industry and women’s empowerment.

 

Amber-Dawn Bear Robe accepts 2023 Changemaker Award

As Fashion Show Program Director for the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts, Amber-Dawn Bear Robe has played a pivotal role in the representation of Indigenous designers on a national platform. She has demonstrated profound dedication to empowering Indigenous talent, art, and design history and has set the stage for a more inclusive and culturally rich fashion landscape.
