Celebrating Christian Louboutin’s insatiable love of travel, the Maison has made a habit of taking us around the world one exclusive seasonal cabas at a time and this year’s edition’s no different – Introducing the Greekaba in not one, but two exclusive styles. Inspired by the land and the sea, each exclusive piece depicts Christian on his adventures in Athens and on a modern-day Odyssey through the Cyclades. Playing tour guide to the designer are Miss Tependris and her faithful poodle Pepe, created by Konstantin Kakanias, Christian’s dear friend and multifaceted illustrator. Through his playful and evocative artwork, this very special collaboration between the two creatives pays tribute to the rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship of the Mediterranean.
Accompanying the Greekaba offer will be a capsule collection of men’s and women’s shoes and accessories inspired by the land and sea themes and reprising each of the two cabas’ standout details.
As with every previous cabas, a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to an association, and this year the contribution will go to ‘Together for Children’ (TFC), a Greek non-profit association comprised of nine member organizations all working to provide immediate and effective support to children, young adults with disabilities and their families in need. By creating bespoke educational programs for the children visiting the facilities, the aim is to help them build positive thinking, inspire their creativity, and develop their self-expression, all core values of Christian Louboutin.
Making the ideal companion for summer and beyond, 2022’s Greekaba capsule offering will launch on June 1st in selected boutiques and online throughout the world. So get ready to catch a serious case of wanderlust!
