Gucci Cruise 2026 Fashion Show: Gucci is Florence, Florence is Gucci

by Iris

Gucci comes home to Florence — the birthplace of the brand and a city synonymous with artistic legacy — to unveil its latest Cruise 2026 collection. Presented at the historic 15th-century Palazzo Settimanni, home of the Gucci Archive, the show marks a symbolic rebirth, blending past and future through fashion.

Inspired by the richness of Florence’s history and craftsmanship, the collection spans eras and aesthetics. Luxurious brocades, silks, and velvets are layered with embroidered lace and strass, evoking the city’s long-standing fabric traditions. The iconic GG Monogram and a reinvented single G motif make bold statements across accessories, belt buckles, and heels. Silhouettes feature strong shoulders, elongated lines, and effortless transitions from day to night.

Leather goods — central to Gucci’s legacy — appear in both archival designs and relaxed, modern updates like the vanity bag and half-Horsebit style. A standout is the new Gucci Giglio bag, a tribute to Florence’s emblematic lily, available immediately after the show.

Adding to the moment is a high jewelry collaboration with Pomellato, ‘Monili’, which merges leather, gold, and pavé diamonds in exquisite pieces drawn from 1980s archives.
