J’adore: Flowers Are Gold

by Iris

All the gold of J’adore in a pure and essential floral concentrate. For J’adore l’Or, Director of Dior Fragrance Creation Francis Kurkdjian showcases the beauty of the J’adore flowers by heightening their nuances and accentuating their colors.

“I have in a way, forced the outline of the flowers to define a new texture, like a fluid and enveloping gold, a new sensuality. Flowers are the true gold of J’adore”.  – Francis Kurkdjian, Dior perfume Creation Director.

J’adore l’Or, 50ml | $220

A full and voluptuous perfume essence that creates a dialogue between notes of orange blossom, jasmine grandiflorum and centifolia rose absolutes. Blossoming in their full glory in a floral quintessence that is both powerful and sensual, these flowers are the true gold of J’adore.

Full of roundness and curves, the iconic J’adore necklace has been restyled to reflect the warmth of the scent, transforming into an organic and precious metal that undulates and hugs the glass of the J’adore l’Or bottle.

J’adore X Refik Anadol Studio

Refik Anadol, the renowned media artist, was inspired by L’Or De J’adore to create a ground-breaking new artwork. The initial encounter between Francis Kurkdjian and Refik Anadol revealed a new challenge – how to embody a fragrance and make “the invisible visible”. In other words, how can one transform the floral magic of L’Or De J’adore into an artwork that is sensorial, attractive, and addictive as its olfactory counterpart? The answer came from the perfume itself coupled with Anadol’s archive of millions of images of the world’s flowers and led to a creative explosion. This inspired a hypnotic virtual artwork displaying dynamic, liquid gold imaged by artificial intelligence.
