TUDOR Takes to the Skies with The Flying Bulls

by Iris

There are few things more daring than piloting an 80-year-old aerobatic aircraft at the very edge of its limits—or flying a helicopter upside down. For most, it’s unthinkable. For The Flying Bulls, it’s just another day in the cockpit. Now, that fearless spirit has found its perfect match. In an environment where precision is everything, TUDOR watches serve as trusted companions—keeping pilots perfectly in sync, no matter how extreme the conditions.

Pushing boundaries has always been at the heart of TUDOR. More than a philosophy, “Born to Dare” defines a relentless pursuit of performance—on land, at sea, and now, in the skies. Today, TUDOR extends this spirit through a new partnership with renowned aviation team The Flying Bulls, bringing its watches into one of the most demanding environments imaginable.

With 12 expert pilots and a fleet of 45 aircraft, The Flying Bulls represent a formidable presence in modern aviation. Their collection—spanning rare historic airplanes and aerobatic helicopters—is meticulously maintained and pushed to its limits in performances that captivate audiences worldwide.

The team traces its origins to the late 1980s, when Tyrolean Airways pilot Sigi Angerer began restoring historic aircraft, starting with a North American T-28B in Innsbruck. His growing collection soon included icons like the Grumman G44 Widgeon and the legendary F4U-4 Corsair—an aircraft that led to a pivotal meeting with Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz and the creation of The Flying Bulls.

As Red Bull expanded globally, so did the fleet. A dedicated hangar near Salzburg was established in the late 1990s, and in 1999, The Flying Bulls became an official company. Today, they continue to showcase a unique blend of heritage, precision, and high-performance aviation on the world stage.

Known for their high-performance aerobatic displays, The Flying Bulls embody a pursuit of excellence that aligns naturally with TUDOR’s DNA. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to precision, performance, and pushing limits. From everyday challenges to the most extreme environments, TUDOR continues to redefine what it means to dare. Because being Born to Dare means never standing still—and always reaching higher.
