UNIQLO announces the launch of the new +J collection in stores and online starting November 12. This marks the return of UNIQLO’s collaboration with legendary designer Jil Sander, who brings her signature modern style to this exceptional line for women and men.
The Fall/Winter 2020 +J collection features sophisticated essentials for women and men. Inspired by a sense of enlightened understatement, the line consists of versatile, iconic pieces. Fine tailoring and sculptural shapes come together with an overall balance of proportion, ease, and comfort. Distinct lines give definition to moving panels and architectural silhouettes. Volumes, while generous, are well fitted.
A variety of quality materials ranges from functional fabrics to herringbone tweed. Weaves and surface treatments animate the pieces with an almost tactile visual impact. Sartorial points of interest lie in the fine workmanship of pockets, zippers, stitching, and contrast lining.
Outerwear designs include hybrid down styles, utility-inspired jackets, military blousons, and cashmere blend coats with a full yet body conscious cut. Tailored jackets and gabardine pants in wool feature a papery finish. Luxe oversized shirts come in a classic palette from ivory to black and white, or with playful contrasting colour patterns.
