It is customary to decorate your home with lots of flowers for Chinese New Year, and among all the favourites, the peony is regarded as the most propitious. That is why you will find its motif adorning red packets, as well as cheongsams. It is also the muse of the latest scent from Aerin.
Aerin Lauder, founder and creative director of AERIN, tells us that she chose this flower for special reasons.
“I have always loved peonies,” Lauder says. “These beautiful flowers add a celebratory touch to any occasion. We used the pale pink peony on my wedding day for both the ceremony and dinner. The flower holds many special memories
for me that I will never forget.”
