We grew up watching haircare commercials where models tossed their glossy locks and the voiceover promised softness, shine and, above all, a great smell. Scent has always played a starring role in hair care, from that first waft at the salon sink to the trail left behind after a fresh blowout.

Now, two beloved brands, Moroccanoil and Oribe, are taking their signature hair fragrances beyond the salon and onto your pulse points, with eau de parfums that let you wear the scent of great hair—even when your hair is tied up.

After years of requests from loyal fans, Moroccanoil has released L’Originale, its first-ever eau de parfum. The fragrance channels the brand’s Mediterranean roots with a warm, luminous blend of soft citrus, violet and camellia. The heart blooms with fresh muguet, velvet woods and a creamy touch of vanilla, before settling into white sandalwood, ethereal musk and spicy amber. It’s a scent that feels sun-kissed, softly sensual and familiar—thanks to its years spent as the signature aroma of the brand’s cult-favourite hair oil.

Housed in a gently curved glass bottle with a golden amber hue and Moroccanoil’s trademark turquoise cap, L’Originale is as elegant to behold as it is to wear. Available in three retail sizes: 100 ml | $130, 60 ml | $98 and 10ml travel spray | $30.

Oribe, meanwhile, has long treated scent as a cornerstone of its identity. Its original fragrance, Côte d’Azur, is woven throughout the entire haircare line and has become a recognizable part of the brand’s luxury experience. Inspired by the glamour of the French Riviera, the perfume blends Calabrian bergamot, white butterfly jasmine—a nod to co-founder Oribe Canales’ Cuban roots—and sandalwood. Originally developed as a hair fragrance, it was eventually released as a full-fledged eau de parfum.

Oribe’s Eau de Parfums is housed in hand-polished glass bottles produced by a heritage glass maker in Normandy, which has specialized in producing fragrance glass bottles since 1892. 75 ml | $156. A Fragrance Experience set is also available, 2ml x 3 | $22.

Oribe didn’t stop there. The brand’s fragrance collection now includes Valley of Flowers, a romantic blend of Bulgarian rose, peony petals and warm amber, and Desertland, an aromatic green scent inspired by Marfa, Tex., where juniper berry, desert wildflowers and Texas cedar wood evoke sun-baked landscapes and still desert nights. Each fragrance offers a unique mood, expanding Oribe’s sensory world from bathroom shelf to dressing table.

A New Kind of Signature Scent

By bottling the scents that helped define their brands, Moroccanoil and Oribe have transformed daily rituals into personal expressions. These perfumes aren’t just add-ons—they’re emotional extensions of the haircare experience, giving loyal fans a new way to carry that signature scent with them, even on no-wash days.
