The Aspire to Act Civic Leadership Training Program is a unique civic leadership program designed for Chinese Canadians, with a strong focus on culture and identity. The program equips participants with the knowledge, confidence, and practical tools to lead in their communities and in public and civic life.

Through online self-paced learning, facilitated discussions, leadership exercises, and interactive dialogue with experienced leaders, participants explore topics such as identity, leadership skills, civic engagement, and pathways to public leadership in Canada, while developing their own leadership story and vision for civic impact.

Participants of this program are highly encouraged to continue their leadership journey by attending the Aspire to Lead Chinese Canadian Leaders’ Summit held on May 15–17, 2026 at University of Waterloo.
The summit is a national gathering that brings together emerging and established leaders to explore civic leadership, public participation and community impact. It provides a platform for dialogue, networking, and mentorship, while highlighting the contributions and leadership of Chinese Canadians across sectors. The participants can expand their national network by connecting with leaders from government, business, academia and community organizations; engage in meaningful dialogue on leadership, identity and civic participation; gain insights and mentorship from experienced civic and community leaders; explore opportunities for collaboration and cmmunity impact, also build momentum for their civic leadership journey.
