For the first time, Dr. Martens are partnering up with JJJJound for an uncompromising collaboration. Breathing life into aesthetic curator and brand founder Justin Saunders’ vision of creating two clashing aesthetics, the brands worked together to translate the duality of the ‘contemporary artist’ and the ‘traditional artist’ into two DM’s silhouettes.

Originally launching in 2006 as a compilation of inspiring imagery and harmonious design references, JJJJound began as designer Justin Saunders’ personal virtual stream of consciousness, which fast evolved into an influential go-to for global menswear. Evolving beyond the realm of the Internet, JJJJound was made tangible by collaborations with artists and brands, and by calling upon forward-thinking individuals who often lace up in DM’s.
Saunders has always been drawn to timeless design. And with few footwear brands enduring like Dr. Martens, a collaboration with JJJJound has long been on the cards. JJJJound has reimagined our Archie II in dark brown Crazy Horse leather and black Wyoming leather. The brown shoe represents the contemporary creative and the black style represents the traditional creative.
Both styles are carefully handcrafted in England in our Wollaston factory and feature our instantly-recognisable signature yellow welt stitching. The Wyoming shoe stands on a smoke V18 outsole, while the brown Crazy Horse style is built upon a trans V18 outsole. The two silhouettes are finished with a JJJJound sewn-in tab, a set of blind eyelets, a dual-branded sock liner, and include secondary brown and yellow Tetoron laces .
