Each year, the Trophée Chopard, created in 2001 Cannes Film Festival, highlights the up-and-coming generation of the international film industry and shrewdly wagers on the talents of tomorrow by rewarding both a young actress and a young actor poised for a successful career on the silver screen. This year, The Trophée Chopard Committee has chosen to honour actress Jessie Buckley and actor Kingsley Ben-Adir for the 20th edition of this award. Actress Jessica Chastain, illustrious godmother of the Trophée Chopard 2021, presented the two winners with their awards. Currently filming, Jessie Buckley accepted her award remotely.

 

 

Thirty-five-year-old British actor Kingsley Ben-Adir and Caroline Scheufele (Chopard Co-President and Artistic Director).

 

Zhang Ziyi, illustrious godmother of the Trophée Chopard 2019, presented British actress Florence Pugh and French actor François Civil  with their trophies.

 

Gwyneth Paltrow and Spike Lee presented Trophée Chopard 2008 to Omar Metwally and Tang Wei.

 

Sharon Stone presented Trophée Chopard to Jonathan Rhys-Meyer in 2005.

 

Rodrigo Santoro and Marion Cotillard received Trophée Chopard in 2004.

 

Gong Li presented Trophée Chopard to Ludivine Saignier,  Paz Vega and Hayden Christensen in 2002.
