For 50 years, Chopard Happy Diamonds has reimagined the relationship between diamonds, light and movement. To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Chopard brings together Ambassadors Bella Hadid and Liu Wen in a cinematic campaign that captures the collection’s signature sense of freedom, joy and spontaneity. At its heart are the new Happy Sport The First timepieces and Happy Diamonds jewellery, with diamonds set between sapphire crystals and free to move with every gesture, creating a constantly changing play of light.
The story began in 1976, inspired by sunlight sparkling through the spray of a Black Forest waterfall. Chopard translated this fleeting movement into an innovative watchmaking concept, allowing diamonds to glide freely across the dial. The creation was awarded the Golden Rose of Baden-Baden that same year, establishing Happy Diamonds as one of the Maison’s most distinctive signatures.

Caroline Scheufele
The idea also became deeply personal within the Maison. Caroline Scheufele, Chopard’s Co-President and Artistic Director, grew up with the philosophy that “diamonds are happier when they are free” — a sentiment that continues to inform the collection’s playful character and distinctive aesthetic.

Happy Sport The First 26mm , $8,420
The First timepieces revisit the iconic 1993 Happy Sport, a cornerstone of Chopard’s watchmaking heritage and the first watch to set Happy Diamonds in motion directly on the dial. Conceived by Caroline Scheufele for women, the original Happy Sport challenged traditional watchmaking codes by pairing steel with diamonds for the first time, creating a new expression of confident, free-spirited elegance. Now reimagined in 26 mm and 33 mm diameters, the new creations are offered in Lucent Steel™ and/or ethical yellow gold. While updated in proportion, they remain faithful to the distinctive design and dynamic spirit of the original.

Happy Diamond Heritage, 34mm | $ 61,200; 24mm | $30,300
The distinctive cushion-shaped cases balance the geometric character of the 1970s with softly rounded edges, creating a silhouette that feels both structured and fluid. The signature black onyx dials offer a deep, velvety backdrop for the freely moving diamonds. As the wrist moves, each stone glides across the dial, catching the light and creating a constantly changing display.
The 34 mm model is crafted in 18-carat ethical yellow gold and set with 21 Happy Diamonds. It is powered by Chopard’s hand-wound Manufacture calibre 10.01-C, introduced in 2024 and visible through the open caseback, with a 45-hour power reserve. The 24 mm version offers a more delicate interpretation, featuring nine diamonds and a quartz movement while retaining the distinctive spirit of the original.
The collection extends into jewellery with a signet ring, cufflinks, tie pin and pendant, combining yellow gold and black onyx with freely moving diamonds. Each piece distils the graphic character of Happy Diamonds into an understated yet expressive form.
