Patrons may enjoy the celebrated, multi-course prix fixe menus recently named Meal of the Year 2022, Mulino – Caputo Award by the prestigious 50 Top Italy where Don Alfonso was also named Best Italian Restaurant in the World 2022 (outside of Italy) – Prosecco DOC Award in a ceremony broadcast earlier this month.
Don Alfonso’s cuisine is characterized by its modern Mediterranean flare and the exceptional quality of raw ingredients, which underscore the fresh flavors of the Amalfi coast. The Michelin style is echoed in the eight-course tasting menu of uniquely crafted dishes, produced with expert precision using the finest ingredients, plated on one-of-a-kind vessels selected to highlight the food’s characteristics in a stunning presentation. Under the direction of sommelier Paige Mclntyre, the delicate flavors of the cuisine are paired with the finest of curated wines and spirits from Casa Loma’s noteworthy cellar.

Originally trained under their helm, Don Alfonso 1890’s executive chef Daniele Corona spent three weeks of pandemic lockdown with his Toronto front-of-house and kitchen team enhancing their award-winning skills in preparation for reopening with his mentors at the original restaurant on the Amalfi Coast.
