Toronto’s Ultimate Halloween Tradition: Legend of Horrors Returns To Casa Loma

by Iris

Leave the lights on. Liberty Entertainment Group brings back its annual Halloween theatrical event Legends of Horror — presented by Captain Morgan — on the grounds of Toronto’s iconic castle, Casa Loma. Now in its tenth year, this sell-out horror experience opens October 4 and runs through November 1.

Legends of Horror is promenade theatre at its most thrilling: guests wander a two-kilometre outdoor walking trail at their own pace as the sun sets and the moon rises. The journey begins in Casa Loma’s lower gardens, winds through Sir Henry Pellatt’s dimly lit tunnels, and moves on to the castle’s haunted Stables — a chamber of horrors where Dr. Frankenstein and an unsettling cast of monsters and super creeps await. Expect jumpstarts and surprises at every turn, dramatic lighting, 3D projections, animatronics, and theatrical set design that pulls you into the story.

Refuel at the Captain Morgan Bar and Lounge with Halloween-themed beverages and seasonal bar options while taking in the dramatic exterior castle projections. The bar offers a perfect pit stop before you continue deeper into the world of the macabre.

This season pushes the immersive experience even further. Guests can expect haunting new characters, intricate set details, and layered surprises that transform Casa Loma into a living, breathing world of theatrical intrigue. Each corridor, tunnel, and chamber has been meticulously reimagined to heighten suspense and surprise, ensuring that no two visits feel the same. The atmosphere is designed to keep guests on edge from start to finish, offering hidden storylines, chilling encounters, and unexpected moments that seem to emerge from the shadows. With every step, guests are drawn deeper into a narrative that blends history, horror, and performance into one unforgettable evening.
