Presented in Manchester in December 2023, the CHANEL 2023/24 Métiers d’art collection is a celebration of tweed and colour against a backdrop of pop effervescence and the 1960s. While black, white, beige and gold define the CHANEL colour palette, red also holds a special place in its vocabulary. This strong, bold hue covers the acetate temples and lenses of a rectangular pair of sunglasses embellished with a metal double C.
Inspired by her sojourns in Great Britain, Gabrielle Chanel made tweed the emblematic material of CHANEL, inseparable from its allure. It now features on the temples of the sunglasses in the 2023/24 Métiers d’art collection, embellished with a two-tone double C in rhinestones.
