31 LE ROUGE comes in a faceted square case inspired by the mirrors that line the legendary Art Deco staircase at 31 rue Cambon. Combining glass and metal, the light dances on its surface. Its thin, clear glass allows the metallic gleam of the bullet and shade of the lipstick to shine through beneath the engraved CHANEL monogram. A true technical feat that could only be accomplished by drawing on CHANEL expertise in high perfumery.
Revealed in 2023 with a palette of twelve shades in a satin finish, the 31 LE ROUGE collection is expanded to include twelve new matte and luminous shades. The twelve new creations are directly inspired by a unique and exceptional colour heritage, from Mademoiselle’s sophisticated apartment to the couture ateliers, via the effervescent ambiance of the 31 rue Cambon boutique. The 12 singular shades of 31 LE ROUGE are vibrant reflections of rue Cambon’s creative spirit.
Each shade of 31 LE ROUGE required several dozen tests to achieve an excellent and uncompromising result, in the shape of vibrant colour with intensity as inimitable as it is unforgettable.
