CHANEL Fall-Winter 2025/26 Ready-to-Wear Show: A Play on Proportions and Illusions

by Iris

CHANEL’s Fall-Winter 2025/26 Ready-to-Wear collection, unveiled under the glass roof of the Grand Palais, transforms the runway into a theatre of dreamlike illusions. With scenographer Willo Perron’s monumental black ribbon installation as a backdrop, the collection redefines scale, length, and proportion — blurring the lines between fantasy and reality.

The collection masterfully plays with dimensions: cropped tweed jackets are paired with exaggeratedly long trousers, while oversized poplin shirts cascade to the ankles. Capes transform into jacket cuffs, and tweed jackets morph into coatdresses, all embodying CHANEL’s timeless codes with a fresh twist.

House signatures like bows, pearls, and flowers take center stage, amplified to bold proportions. Oversized bows adorn collars, cuffs, and even down jackets, while heels are crafted from a single pearl. Layering remains a key focus, with three-piece tweed sets, illusion tulle capes, and contrasting textures adding depth to each look.

A sense of ethereal femininity pervades — from chiffon jeans and silk tweed imitations to black organza parkas and petal-like embellishments. Every piece, whether grounded in practicality or pure fantasy, exudes CHANEL’s signature refinement.
