CHANEL Fall/Winter 2026 Haute Couture: Where Fantasy Meets Reality

by Iris

For his second Haute Couture collection as CHANEL’s Artistic Director of Fashion Activities, Matthieu Blazy reimagines couture as a world where fantasy and reality beautifully intertwine. Rooted in the Maison’s exceptional savoir-faire, the Fall/Winter 2026 Haute Couture collection celebrates the intimate relationship between the garment and the woman who wears it.

Inspired by timeless fairy tales including Jack and the Beanstalk and Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Blazy transforms storytelling into couture. A guipure CHANEL suit, accented with sheer silk mousseline, opens the collection, while whimsical details unfold throughout—from embroidered vines climbing shoe heels and minaudières shaped like sleeping bears to buttons that evolve from ducklings into swans.

Beyond the poetic embellishments, the collection highlights the extraordinary craftsmanship of CHANEL’s Haute Couture ateliers and the artisans of le19M. Intricate embroidery, weaving, pleating and layering elevate everyday objects into works of art, while painted silk linings, hidden notes and treasured charms celebrate the deeply personal connection between maker, garment and wearer.

Presented against a dreamlike salon overgrown with twisting vines and mysterious blooms, the collection balances precision tailoring with fluid movement, embracing purposeful imperfection and clothing designed to be lived in. As Matthieu Blazy describes it, “Haute Couture at CHANEL is not just a fairy tale; in essence it is for women, their realities and their adventures of the everyday.”
