“Lights! Camera! Action!”
With these words, filming begins and dreams are on their way to being realized. Partnered with the Cannes Film Festival since 1998, Chopard was there once again this year, alongside numerous actors, directors and other film professionals.

Chopard annually creates an Haute Joaillerie collection featuring the exact number of jewellery masterpieces matching that year’s edition of the festival. So, for the 76th edition of the famed event, Chopard artistic director Caroline Scheufele designed 76 masterpieces. After the 2022 collection, she extended the inspiration to the Seven Arts—architecture, sculpture, painting, music, literature, dance and cinema—all the noble forms of human genius and expression.

Any detail of the Seven Arts is enough to spark Scheufele’s dreams of splendid adornments. Included is a stunning necklace, featuring diamond and sapphire feathers skilfully crafted to form gossamer-light volutes, an ode to literature.

Dance is represented by a necklace and matching pair of earrings featuring diamond corollas gracefully evoking the dainty flutter of ballerinas’ tutus. A briolette-cut diamond choker celebrates music with its rows of gems tracing the lines of a musical score.

The play on colour in a butterfly ring, appears to recall the play on colours and forms mastered by painters. Architecture is interpreted through an elegant tanzanite necklace distinguished by its clean-cut symmetry and carefully studied proportions. A moon pendant, subtly hinting at the darkness, fully immerses oneself in the emotions of a feature film.

Moreover, in keeping with the art theme of this year’s Red Carpet Collection, Scheufele designed a magnificent ring in celebration of sculpture. The culmination of the extraordinary expertise cultivated in Chopard’s workshops.

It showcased a splendid 127-carat yellow sapphire supported by a group of antique-style gold sculptures adorning the diamond-set ring shank. It took no less than 400 hours for Chopard’s artisans to achieve this spectacular work of art.
