Diesel Spring/Summer 2027: A Final Party with Glenn Martens

by Iris

Diesel Spring/Summer 2027 turns fashion into one last, unforgettable party for Glenn Martens, marking his final collection as Creative Director. Celebrating Diesel’s spirit of inclusivity, self-expression and uninhibited energy, the collection brings together denim, tailoring, leather and sensual cut-outs, while the show itself became part of the experience—a purpose-built club animated by 200 performers from Marseille-based artist collective (LA)HORDE, whose unpredictable interventions created an atmosphere of tension, surprise and release, culminating in a reworked version of Donna Summer’s Love to Love You Baby.

That sense of spontaneity runs through the clothes. Garments are merged, twisted and cut apart, with jackets layered into knits, shirts transformed into dresses and pieces revealing unexpected flashes of skin. Orchid-shaped cut-outs and embroidery appear throughout, while trompe l’oeil prints blur the boundaries between denim, leather, tailoring and outerwear.

Denim remains at the heart of the collection, appearing in coated and laser-treated finishes, topstitched styles, bootcuts, straight-leg jeans and ultra-micro shorts. Accessories continue the playful attitude, from the versatile D-ONE and new LOCK-D bags to footwear featuring Diesel’s signature buckle and Double D motif. Orchid-inspired jewellery and the new lingerie collection further reinforce the season’s theme of desire.

The finale brings Martens’ Diesel journey full circle, with Ella Snyder wearing the final look after having opened his debut Diesel show—a fitting closing moment for an era defined by experimentation, attitude and fearless reinvention.
