CHANEL has reopened its boutique inside Holt Renfrew at Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre, revealing a spectacular new space that marks a milestone for the Maison in Canada. Spanning two luxurious floors and nearly 1,000 square metres, the redesigned boutique is now the largest CHANEL location in the country. The opening coincides with the debut of the CHANEL Cruise 2025/26 collection, setting the tone for an elevated client experience that blends exceptional craftsmanship, refined artistry, and the unmistakable spirit of the House.
Designed by esteemed architect and long-time CHANEL collaborator Peter Marino, the boutique embodies the timeless elegance of a Parisian townhouse while embracing a modern sensibility. Marino’s architectural vision unfolds through a striking palette of black, white, and warm gold, creating an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and welcoming. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by an impressive double-height façade that frames the entrance, leading to a grand staircase crafted from contrasting black lava stone and luminous white marble. This dramatic ascent sets the stage for the refined world above, where a specially commissioned portrait of Gabrielle Chanel by Gregor Hildebrandt overlooks a sculptural Bronze Box by Marino, adding a museum-like presence to the space.

The upper level is bathed in warm light and dedicated to Ready-to-Wear and footwear, with expansive salons designed for comfort and elegance. A new VIP salon offers a heightened level of privacy and personalized service, enhanced by exquisite decorative elements including two Goossens chandeliers made of gilded bronze and rock crystal. An antique limestone mantelpiece from the Louis XV period lends historical depth to the contemporary surroundings, while the boutique’s three private fitting rooms showcase remarkable artworks by Georges Mathieu, Peter Dayton, and Philippe Anthonioz, weaving a thread of artistic expression throughout the space.

On the ground floor, clients are welcomed into generous accessory salons that display the latest Ready-to-Wear offerings alongside CHANEL’s most iconic handbags, including the 2.55, the 11.12, and the newly introduced CHANEL 25. The salons also highlight an array of sunglasses, small leather goods, and costume jewellery, complemented by a curated presentation of CHANEL Watches & Fine Jewelry, featuring the J12 and Première watches as well as the Coco Crush and N°5 Fine Jewelry collections.

A particularly noteworthy addition is Toronto’s first CHANEL High Jewelry salon—an intimate, exquisitely designed room illuminated by Goossens wheat-motif table lamps and anchored by a Régence giltwood mirror. This refined space debuts with the CHANEL Haute Joaillerie Sport collection, offering clients a rare opportunity to explore the Maison’s most exceptional creations.

The boutique experience culminates in a space that is completely new to Canada: CHANEL & Moi. Accessed through a vestibule displaying oil and casein drawings by Jill Moser, this dedicated area reflects CHANEL’s commitment to preserving the beauty and longevity of its creations. Here, clients can access expert care, repair, and alteration services tailored to maintain the integrity and uniqueness of each piece.

More than a retail destination, the new CHANEL boutique at Yorkdale is a thoughtful and immersive expression of the House’s heritage and savoir-faire. Through its architectural grandeur, curated artistry, and expanded range of collections and services, it sets a new benchmark for luxury shopping in Toronto—one that honours the past, celebrates the present, and inspires the future.
