Louis Vuitton Fall-Winter 2021 Shoes Collection

by Iris

This season, functional elegance reigns supreme as shoes by Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director for women’s collections, are all about hitting the pavement in derby shoes and boots. These are the new must-haves.

Patti Boots

The statement piece of the Fall-Winter 2021 collection is the biker jacket-inspired Patti boots, with its two-way zip, metallic Louis Vuitton-engraved studs, and folded straps across the toe. Available as an ankle boot or in a longer version, it comes in a choice of all-black or a range of bold colour combinations. With both a punk and chic vibe, this striking wedge boot is an unmistakably edgy style.

Pillow Boots

Unveiled last season, the Pillow boots continues to stir up desire with its playful contrasts. Feather-filled and quilted recycled nylon makes this light and supple hybrid boot as comfortable as a down jacket, while its inner sock of stretch material holds the foot perfectly in place. The Pillow boot uses ECONYL®, a unique material made from 100% recycled-and-recyclable nylon fibres, chiefly derived from plastic waste found in the ocean. The boot is available in three colours – black, khaki and white, all lined with recycled Monogram-patterned nylon. The Pillow is still an absolute must-have.

Beaubourg Platform Derby

Here is a perfect masculine/feminine design, first shown in the Fall-Winter 2019 collection. The LV Beaubourg derby sits on a chunky, thick platform sole that’s deceptively lightweight and edged with white stitching. Its Monogram-patterned canvas outer is lined with neoprene, and it has the same laces as the Archlight sneaker. This contemporary classic combines style, comfort, and technical materials in a design that works with any look.

Metropolis Boots

First shown in the 2020 Cruise collection, Metropolis is the perfect combat boot, incredibly easy to wear, it goes with everything. This season it comes sheathed in leather and an ultra-soft black and white Monogram-patterned jacquard velvet. With its little signature insignia, this boot marries a resolute urban edge with a precious couture vibe.
