Tiffany & Co. Unveils New Designs in Its Iconic Bird on a Rock Collection

by Iris

Tiffany & Co. unveils a bold new chapter in its storied legacy with the latest evolution of the Bird on a Rock motif—an enduring emblem of joy, optimism, and imagination first conceived by Jean Schlumberger in 1965. The new Bird on a Rock and Bird on a Pearl high jewelry creations pay tribute to Tiffany & Co.’s rich heritage and its dedication to celebrating nature’s rarest treasures through daringly inventive design and unparalleled craftsmanship. Each masterpiece is a singular work of art, reflecting the House’s enduring commitment to elevating the extraordinary.

Under Chief Artistic Officer Nathalie Verdeille, Tiffany & Co.’s Bird motif is reimagined in new high jewelry creations that unite exceptional craftsmanship with rare gemstones. The Bird on a Pearl capsule centers on luminous natural saltwater pearls sourced exclusively from the private collection of renowned authority Mr. Hussein Al Fardan—access granted only to Tiffany & Co. The new designs introduce star sapphire heads, prized for their vivid hues and celestial asterism, accented with fancy color diamonds. Highlights include a pavé diamond bird brooch perched on an over-18-carat white baroque pearl, a pendant featuring a brownish gray baroque pearl of over 29 carats, and a reimagined brooch inspired by a Jean Schlumberger archival design, showcasing signature 18k gold “flames,” a rare 36+ carat light orangey brown and white baroque pearl, and cabochon rubellites—together honoring the House’s heritage through nature’s rarest treasures and inventive artistry.
