Louis Vuitton’s new store at Royalmount in Montreal marks the brand’s first freestanding location in the city, complementing its existing space at Holt Renfrew. At more than 9,000 square feet, it is one of the largest Louis Vuitton stores in Canada, offering a comprehensive range of men’s and women’s accessories, ready-to-wear, leather goods, fine jewellery, fragrances, and more. The opening offer includes a robust assortment of cozy fall essentials suited for the locale, and selections from both the men’s and women’s Fall/Winter 2024 collections.

The Damier pattern in the two-storey facade is the first of its kind in North America.

An Immersive Destination of Craftmanship
The store is located at the entrance to what locals call “the luxury row,” in a light-filled courtyard dominated by “The Wishing Bear,” a striking sculpture by Montreal artist Chun Hua Catherine Dong.

The limestone façade of the building is a nod to the Maison’s iconic Damier pattern, created by Louis Vuitton himself in 1888, and it is the only Louis Vuitton store in North America with such a design.

Highlighting Louis Vuitton’s exemplary craftsmanship and legendary savoir-faire, Louis Vuitton at Royalmount offers a full suite of the Maison’s métiers.

Inside, natural materials such as petrified wood, stone, and shell create a warm, inviting atmosphere, while bold contemporary art pieces from artists like Lautaro Cuttia and Canadian artist Jonathan Forrest enliven the space. Forrest’s standout work, a rainbow-hued chevron, contrasts with the centuryold advertisements and catalogue entries from Louis Vuitton’s aris archive that are repurposed as fine art.

Bespoke Offer
A highlight of the store is its bespoke services, including custom bags with exotic finishes and the Maison’s iconic hard-sided trunks. Clients can personalize leather goods and fragrances with hot stamping and engraving services, continuing Louis Vuitton’s long-standing tradition of bespoke craftsmanship, which dates back to the 19th century.

In addition to fashion, handbags and shoes, the store carries fine jewellery, fragrances, gifting services, publishing and travel offerings from the brand.

Throughout the store, brilliant custom pieces by Lautaro Cuttia, Heidi Spector and Benna Holden enliven the showrooms.

This new store opening is part of the brand’s recent flurry of initiatives in Canada, which also includes a recent trunk show in Toronto and the release of the Toronto City Guide.
