In a beauty world often preoccupied with pausing time, Dior dares to take it a step further—reversing it. This fall, the House unveils its latest innovation: Dior Prestige Micro-Serum de Rose Yeux Activated, a luxurious eye serum that redefines what age-defying skincare can be.

Backed by 50 years of dermatological research and the insights of the Dior Reverse Aging Board, this formula doesn’t just soften fine lines—it targets the biological causes of aging to visibly reshape, replenish and restore the eye area.

We sat down with Virginie Couturaud, Scientific Communication Director at Dior, and Dr. Patricia Ogilvie, dermatologist and member of the Dior Reverse Aging Board, to explore the science behind the serum.

At the heart of the formula lies the Rose de Granville, a flower born from nature and perfected by science. From this botanical marvel, Dior extracts Nutri-Rosapeptide, a complex of four rose actives and a collagen-boosting peptide. For this new formula, it’s now paired with rosehip extract, naturally rich in copper—a critical micronutrient shown to reverse signs of fatigue and aging around the eyes.

“Copper is essential for linking collagen and elastin fibres, yet our ability to transport it through the skin declines with age,” Couturaud explains. “This serum delivers it precisely where the skin needs it, in a safe and effective way.”

If copper deficiency contributes to aging, can’t we just take supplements? It’s not so simple. Nutrients from food or supplements are distributed system-wide. “

By the time they reach the skin,” she says, “it’s like being last at a buffet.” And taking more can be dangerous. “That’s why targeted, topical delivery is so powerful—and safer.”

Dr. Ogilvie adds: “We often overestimate what oral supplements do for the skin, and underestimate what topical actives can achieve. Collagen is a perfect example. Ingested collagen may help joints, but it’s never been proven to reach the skin. This formula, however, delivers visible effects.”

The formula boasts 97 per cent natural-origin ingredients, but roses are notoriously delicate, often requiring chemicals and pesticides. Will these end up in the product? Not at Dior.

“Our roses are grown with biodiversity management—no pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers,” Couturaud says. “They thrive in their natural habitat in southern France, which means they grow strong without chemicals. Even the extraction avoids harsh solvents. We use cryoextraction to preserve molecular integrity.”

In clinical tests, after just one month of use, women reported a 50-percent increase in firmness, 53 per cent more sculpted contours and a 29-per-cent reduction in eyelid sagging. Crow’s feet appeared four times smoother, nasolabial folds six times less visible and the eye area looked seven times less fatigued. Even eyelashes grew four times stronger.

The ultra-fluid, ultra-fresh serum also contains two shades of micropearls and blurring powders to neutralize dark circles and instantly brighten the eye area.

Tempted to use it more than twice a day for even faster results? “More is not better,” Couturaud laughs. “The formula is optimized for morning and night. Any more and it’s simply wasted.”

What you can do, she suggests, is use the new 360-degree flexible ceramic applicator multiple times a day. Designed to cool and sculpt, it can also be used on areas like the nasolabial folds or upper lip, where expression lines mirror the same stresses as the eyes.
